QUICK TECHNICAL ANSWER

What is a Medium-Pressure UV Disinfection System?

KONCHE medium-pressure UV: a few 2–10 kW broad-spectrum lamps replacing dozens of low-pressure lamps — 1–500 m³/h ordinary water, 5–200 m³/h pure water, in one 316L chamber.

What it delivers

  • One lamp replaces dozens of low-pressure lamps at large flows
  • Broad 200–400 nm spectrum covers resistant organisms such as cryptosporidium
  • Compact footprint with far fewer maintenance points — lower annual cost and downtime

Why trust KONCHE

  • Sizing checked against feed turbidity and transmittance, not just flow
  • Online dose sensors hold ≥40 mJ/cm² with over-temperature protection and automatic shutdown
  • Water-jacket cooling for continuous duty, air cooling for intermittent service

Where we stand out

What matters to youHow KONCHE delivers
Big flow, small footprintOne 2–10 kW lamp where dozens of low-pressure lamps were needed
Broad-spectrum kill200–400 nm multi-target output, stronger on chlorine-resistant organisms

Lower upkeepDramatically fewer lamps to stock, replace and dispose
PRODUCT DOCUMENTATION

High-intensity broad-spectrum 200–400 nm UV for large-flow disinfection. One lamp is typically 2–10 kW, with ordinary-water flow from 1 to 500 m³/h and pure-water flow from 5 to 200 m³/h according to UV transmittance, dose and system configuration.

KONCHE medium-pressure systems run single 2–10 kW lamps covering 1–500 m³/h with ≥99.99% inactivation, water-jacket or air cooling, and UV-dose monitoring to ≥40 mJ/cm². Lamp life is 8,000–10,000 h; feed requirements are turbidity below 5 NTU and suspended solids below 5 mg/L. Typical projects: high-flow purified-water lines, food and beverage CIP water, pools and water parks, municipal supply and reuse, aquaculture.

FAQ

What is the difference from low-pressure UV?

Medium-pressure UV uses higher power and a broader spectrum for compact high-flow duty; low-pressure UV is more energy-efficient for many ordinary flows.

How is cooling selected?

Water-jacket cooling or air cooling is selected according to lamp power, water temperature, installation and maintenance conditions.

How long does the lamp last?

Typical lamp life is 8,000–10,000 operating hours, subject to water quality, power cycling and cooling.

What information is needed for selection?

Flow rate, UV transmittance, target dose, water temperature, installation space and pressure are required.
